The Subramanium Study Centre provides a foundation for collaboration and research by bringing together global experts from a wide range of fields and industries.
Based at The Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE Research in Oxford, the Study Centre principally seeks to advance the understanding of mental health and support the discovery of new treatments for mental health disorders, including clinical depression, Alzheimer's, and schizophrenia.
Founded and launched by Gopal Subramanium in September 2020, a key focus of the Centre's work is to provide a better framework for understanding the interconnection between mental health, physical health, and other health conditions. By supporting, funding, and undertaking multidisciplinary research, it seeks to identify the commonalities in themes and causes between the full range of mental health conditions.
The Centre draws on the unique academic capability of the University of Oxford and continues to support the wider work conducted at The Prince of Wales International Centre, led by the UK's leading mental health charity, SANE.
